The mission of our Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is to recognize and celebrate the reason behind our event - our survivors. If you are interested in helping us engage those who have been affected by breast cancer in our event, we are looking to connect with you.
We are looking for committee volunteers to lead year round survivor recruitment and engagement through local hospitals, support groups, survivor events, event kickoff and walk day.
The Survivor LEad position is a Committee Chair role, with a 1-2 year commitment. Sub-committee positions also available. We will work with your schedule and availability.
The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks raise awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer. Our Making Strides of Greater Hartford event brings in more than 6000 participants annually and has raised more than $2M over the past 6 years!
