We are looking for an experienced individual to volunteer to assist in building ScholarShot's social media presence. This Social Ambassador will develop and maintain our organization's online social networking and digital media accounts (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) to help achieve marketing goals. An ideal candidate will

  • create content suitable for social networking and digital media trends to drive traffic to websites
  • monitor and manage content including message boards, and status updates;
  • remains abreast of current events and trends in the social media industry to maintain competitive edge
  • evaluates ScholarShot's social audiences, understands their needs, and determines when and how to communicate with them
  • facilitate discussions or respond to inquiries
  • analyze and report usage statistics to ScholarShot staff

ScholarShot is a 501(c)(3) Texas Corporation dedicated to helping at-risk students complete degrees in higher education. In Texas well-meaning access programs get at-risk students into college, but unprepared and underfunded, 9 out of 10 drop out. ScholarShot has a proven formula to help at-risk students complete career-ready vocational, associate and undergraduate degrees. Since being founded in 2009, ScholarShot Scholars have maintained a cumulative GPA of 2.38 with more than 85% earning degrees.
