Simple, right? The only skills you need to become a Grace Hospice Volunteer Visitor are compassion for another human being at the end of his or her life, empathy for the feelings they may be having, the ability to give them your focused attention while you are with them, to listen, to care, to be non-judgmental, and have the desire to support the patient and family as you walk the end-of-life journey with them.

Description
Grace Hospice cares for patients whose medical conditions are not responding to treatment or for those patients who choose to not seek aggressive medical care at the end stage of life. Hospice focuses on comfort care rather than curative care. The goal of hospice is for patients to remain as comfortable and pain-free as possible in their own home or the home of a loved one through the end of life. Care can also be provided in a long-term care facility or an assisted living facility.
