I am looking for someone to go online and submit our upcoming event Walk to Fight the Flu to as many local media groups, newspapers, online event schedulers, etc...

I will give you all the event info, I just need someones time to search and submit!

Each year, we mark the start of the flu season with warnings. From remembering to wear a coat to stocking up on vitamin C, most people think of the common flu as just another pesky hassle of the season. However, every year as many as 55,000 deaths occur from the influenza virus. Tragically, many of these deaths account for children and infants.

On December 19, 2014, 5 year old, Scarlet Anne Taylor died from the H3N2 Flu. Following Scarlet’s death, her mother Rebecca Hendricks-Taylor, began a mission. Through Scarlet’s legacy, Rebecca’s journey turned into a mission that continues to change and impact many lives. In her mission, Rebecca brings a strong awareness on not only the importance in preventing the influenza virus but the simple measures anyone can take in order to take a stand against such a catastrophic epidemic. Fight the Flu Foundation was built in honor of Scarlet, with a mission to educate the public about the Flu, and to raise an awareness within the local community of the importance in preventing the spread of the Flu.

Fight the Flu Foundation will hold its 1st annual 5K Walk in order to support its noble cause. It will be held at Jefferson Park 801 N Mason Ave Tacoma, WA 98406 on Sat. Aug 20th, 2016, from 10 am-4pm. Help us honor young Scarlet and the many other children who have lost their Fight to the Flu. Grab the family and come join in on an afternoon of healthy fun, raffles, games, vendors, food and more. Help us honor the memory of young Scarlet by helping support the strong awareness and prevention of the influenza virus, and celebrating a wonderful day in the sun.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to increase the number of families vaccinated against influenza, to decrease the number of hospitalizations and to FIGHT THE FLU, AND WIN. To end influenza deaths.

Description

Fight the Flu Foundation was built in honor of my daughter Scarlet Anne who died December 19, 2014 from H3N2 influenza. I was a mother who didn't find vaccinations important until my daughter died from a vaccine preventable disease. It wasn't until my daughter died did I realize how important the Flu vaccination is. I am now a huge advocate for vaccinations. The mission of Fight the Flu Foundation is to educate on Flu vaccination as well as the flu itself. To tell my story a long with 11 other families who I know lost their child to the flu.
