The AARP Foundation, The Miami Dolphins and US Hunger (FCE's domestic brand) are partnering together for the 3rd year in a row to package one million healthy meals for the South Florida community. There will be great music, good fun and a volunteer experience like no other!
This Hunger Project is happening at Nova Southeastern Univeristy, in Fort Lauderdale, on Sunday, April 30th! We are looking for 125 volunteers to make this amazing project happen. These volunteers will be joining the FCE team for the day! They will take the roles of table captains, logistical support, volunteer flow, and community fair support.
This project is taking place from 7:45 am - 4:45 pm. Key Volunteers will be with the FCE team from 6:00 am - 5:30 pm. Volunteers will receive breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Feeding Children Everywhere will also provide our Key Volunteers with a water bottle, snacks and a t-shirt to wear on the day of the project.

There is currently a hunger epidemic in the United States that has been magnified by the economic climate. It’s estimated that there are 14 million children that risk going hungry this year in our country. The crisis is evident in the drastic increase of children that rely on free and reduced cost meals in our schools. Many of these kids go hungry at night or even for an entire weekend. Childhood hunger causes devastating effects including stunted educational development.
