At Make-A-Wish, we grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Our chapter is proud to grant more than 250 wishes to children each year!
Our 30th Annual Wine & Wishes event will take place on April 29, 2017 at the Sacramento Convention Center. This event raises awareness and funds to help grant more wishes each year! Last year, this event raised more than $630,000 for children in our local community!
Events like this are only possible with the help of our dedicated volunteers! We are currently seeking volunteers to assist in a variety of roles.
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with Food and Drink Servers from 3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Volunteers in this role must be age 21 and comfortable working with the public. Volunteers will be assigned to assist a vendor with pouring/serving wine and serving appetizers.
- Business Attire: Black slacks, white blouse/button down top and business shoes.
- Please wear shoes that are comfortable
Food/Drink:
- Will be provided for all volunteers

Description
Our Make-A-Wish chapter grants one wish every three days in the Central California region. Volunteers throughout our chapter support our mission work in wish granting, special events, community relations, corporate fundraising, community awareness and other critical areas. Volunteers work in local communities by impacting the lives of Central California children. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available. It is important to note that during this time, we have made volunteer orientations and trainings readily available virtually for the health and safety of everyone.
Wish Granter
Wish Granters work in teams of two as a liaison between a wish family and Make-A-Wish. They help determine a child's wish and play an instrumental role in helping to turn the wish into reality. You must be at least 21 years old, complete Wish Granter training, and be able to make two or more visits to the family during the course of the wish process. Wish Visits have recently become available to do virtually as well.
