Expand Your Worlds--and Fulfill a Young Student's Dream. Host an International Student.
ORGANIZATION: CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange
Please visit the new page to apply.
Hosting a young international high school student in your home is a remarkable experience. Not only can you expose your family, school and community to another culture, language and tradition, but you’ll be fulfilling a dream for a young student-one who is smart, adventurous and purposeful in their intentions to experience life in America.
As the world leader in international education and exchange, CIEE is looking for families to host students attending Connecticut IB Academy in the Hartford area for the school year beginning in August. All types of host families are accepted-those with kids or no kids, empty nesters, retirees, single parents and others. You just need to provide:
- An accepting family environment
- A warm bed to sleep in
- Three meals a day
- Help coordinating transportation
A generous stipend is also available to help offset the costs of hosting your student.
