The Happy Headquarters provides visual and performing arts education, a day habilitation program, summer camps and other social events to more than 500 children and adults with special needs such as Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, spina bifida and a host of other diagnoses. The Happy Headquarters has volunteer opportunities for people ages 13 and up. With our year-round schedule, you are sure to find a day and time that matches your availability. Volunteers report high levels of satisfaction in their experience at Merrimack Hall because of the lasting and meaningful relationships formed with the people they serve.

Happy Camp is Merrimack Hall’s annual half-day performing arts camp for children, teens and adults with special needs. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities including music, theatre, dance, arts and crafts. Ages 3 to 12 will be offered one week of camp, while ages 13+ will be offered two weeks of camp, with both camps culminating in performances that showcase skills learned during camp.
