The BFOK Schools are interested in becoming self sufficient. The interesting thing about it is, as hard as they might try to raise Poultry they just are not equipped with the resources and the proper Livestock to do so in a proper way. Our Farm will be equipped to handle things much differently and we have already sourced a Supplier for the right Birds. We also have a Sponsor for 50 young Ducks but still need to construct the proper enclosures.
We have dedicated two areas of equal size at the facility. 12 M X 9 M will be used but both will be slightly different in their fundtionality. The Duck Pond will require a small Pond but will not require any special consideration for the enclosure and nest boxes whereas the Chicken Enclosure will need a slightly different approach. Both will be relatively easy to construct and inexpensive to construct using local materials. A Sponsor has already pledged 50 young Ducks and will be purcashed next week as part of our plan and will be reared until old enough to be put into the main area.
This will be a very exciting project for anyone to be involved with and will make a HUGE difference in their lives.

BFOK supports over 340 poor Children in two Schools in neighboring Villages. We believe in Education and believe that the School has a much better chance of impacting the future of the Children and their families if this Education can be applied in a practical manner. Farming which is intrinsic to the culture can offer opportunities for the future and the goal is to make BFOK a model school, implementing progressive farming concepts focused on self sustainability.
Description
BFOK is a registered NGO in excellent standing and focuses on Educating the Children English and basic Computer training. In addiiton, curriculum is being created that will augment this teaching with Progressive Farmig principles but presented in an easy to understand manner. In addition, our plan to create a farming environment on 2,500 Sq Meters of frming space has already begun and just needs a bit of support to make it all happen.
I am passionate in helping the two schools and fortunate to be part of this incredible community of caring people.
