The three Wyandotte County YMCA's Bonner Springs, Providence, and 8th Street are teaming up with Legends to host a Back-to-School Bash on August 5th, 10:00AM-4:00PM. The event will be held throughout the interior of the main shopping complex. At the event community partners and businesses will be running activity stations related to five health habits:
1- Hour Physical Activity
2- No More that 2 Hours of Screen Time a Day
3- Serving Milk or Yogurt
4- Servings of Water
5- Servings of Fruits and Vegetables
We are looking for volunteers to help with greeting families, inviting children to participate in activities, help work event stations like obstacles courses, sports shoot outs, water relays, food tasting stations, crafts, etc.. We also need volunteers to help with set-up and breakdown of the event.
We are asking volunteers to be there for a shift from 8:30am-12:30am and from 12:30am-4:00pm
You can also volunteer for the whole day, 8:30am-4:00pm.
Volunteers will provided with breakfast and lunch, and water stations will be located throughout the campus.
