ORGANIZATION: Albany Public Library

  • 4 people are interested

Various branches of the Albany Public Library, including Delaware, Pine Hills, and North Albany, are looking for patient, committed, tech savvy volunteers who can come in for one on one technology assistance. Library users request help in a variety of technology areas, from Microsoft word to smartphone usage to the ins and outs of Kindles to setting up an email account. There is also the opportunity to help run technology themed sessions to a group of patrons in areas like how to use different softwares and apps. Come share your knowledge and passion for community betterment, and help your neighbors! This would be a great opportunity for high school or college students who are interested in the fields of technology, information sciences, and/ or teaching or for anyone who is simply looking to share their skills and lend a hand!
