For Goodness Sake takes furniture and household good donations from the community and distributes them to individuals and families that are moving into apartments from shelters or other homeless situations.

We need volunteers on Saturday mornings (anytime between 8:30 am to 1 pm) or Sunday afternoons (noon to 3 pm) to:

• Go out with the road crew to pick up and deliver furniture (please be at the warehouse by 8:30 am on Saturdays, noon on Sundays)

• Sort and organize incoming donations (linens, dishes, etc.)

• Help our clients shop and pick out items

• Do miscellaneous tasks that vary every week

Ideally we are looking for volunteers that can commit to coming in for at least one Saturday or Sunday a month. As you learn about the organization, there is opportunity for more involvement, such as working with the agencies that refer the clients, helping with fundraising, outreach, and back office tasks.
