Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs (PRCA) Department, along with the Neighborhood Housing & Development Corporation (NHDC) and Lowe’s Home Improvement will take part in NeighborWorks Week!
NeighborWorks Week is an annual event when local organizations mobilize tens of thousands of volunteers in a week of neighborhood change and awareness.
This year’s community project will be the cleaning, painting, and installation of benches and playground equipment at C.F. Franklin Memorial Park located on NE 4th Avenue and 15th Street. We are asking you to support your community by volunteering and participating in this event.

Description
The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department manages over 3,200 acres of parkland with numerous cultural, recreational, and natural areas and facilities. In October of 2013, the Department became one of 119 agencies in the country to be fully accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies
