Do you love musical theatre? Join us and make an immediate difference in the lives of Costa Rican teens who share your passion. We need energetic, creative individuals to staff our upcoming production of Fiddler on the Roof , our 11th musical theatre production in Monteverde, Costa Rica. Join us in a breathtakingly beautiful environment as we put on a full production of a musical with a fantastic, diverse group of youth.
The Tech Director/Producer will coordinate and supervise student interns and community volunteers in the areas of set, lights, sound, and props, as well as house management, ticket sales, marketing, and fundraising.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Intermediate or better Spanish proficiency preferred
- Passion for musical theatre and working with children/youth
- Creativity and willingness to work in a non-traditional theatre setting where resources are limited
- Attention to detail
- Experience working with children/youth
- Interest in and open mind towards immersion in a new culture
- Flexibility, patience and maturity
- Commitment to abide by our drug/alcohol policy

Description
Far Corners Community Musical Theatre stages musicals in communities where, due to economic limitations or geographic isolation, opportunities for participation in the arts have been limited or nonexistent. FCCMT volunteer staff members act as the producers, directors, musical directors and choreographers. The cast and crew are drawn from the local community as well as international program participants.
