About the Program:

MetIncPowerCo's BabyBoomer Tech program seeks to empower seniors 55+, build their self-confidence with the internet and close the digital divide with smartphones, tablets, and social media.

Our adult programs specifically focus to serve traditionally underrepresented populations including females and minorities living in underserved communities, as well as at-risk and transitional populations including senior living facilities.

Our BabyBoomer Tech programs have a special emphasis on internet safety, how to avoid email phishing scams and financial fraud via the internet, apps, and technology.

What YouWill do:

We are looking for friendly, patient and passionate volunteer instructors to lead our senior computer and technology program and assist seniors in the world of Smartphones, Tablets, Social Media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, as well as discuss safe ways to navigate WI-FI and the Internet (World Wide Web).

Your passion, positive reinforcement, and commitment to our Growth Mindset principals will help transform "I CAN'T" attitudes into "I CAN" behaviors and outcomes for adult seniors enrolled in our BabyBoomer Tech courses.

Your focus will be to help empower seniors to say YES to their ability to use technology, and NO to limiting life choices as you instruct them in computer science, coding, and expose them to related career fields.

Once per year, or as needed you will participate in a STEM documentary highlighting the diverse backgrounds, skillsets and interests of our STEM volunteers and partners.

We provide educational enrichment services to schools, faith-based institutions and municipalities as a state and federal service provider.
