Description
Based in the heart of Silicon Valley, just on the border of Palo Alto and Mountain View, Golden State Youth Orchestra (formerly El Camino Youth Symphony) was founded in 1963 by William Galbraith, a young violinist and conductor, who envisioned a youth orchestra that would give student musicians the opportunity to learn and perform challenging professional-level repertoire. Fifty- five years later, GSYO continues to provide first-rate music education programs to over 480 students annually, from a breadth of cultural heritages, who wish to study and play inspiring orchestral works while being mentored and by a dedicated faculty.
