Help Live Violence Free to run and organize our basic needs program in Alpine County!

Basic Needs is a program that provides free clothing, food, hygiene products, toys, and other items to those in need in the South Lake Tahoe and Markleeville areas.

Basic Needs distribution occurs for our Markleeville location once every month, on the last Wednesday of the year.

Responsibilities include:

  • Arranging and organizing food and clothing items for distribution to community members
  • Cleaning and dismantling basic needs clothing and food arrangements
  • Greeting community members with kindness and enthusiasm; treating all community members with respect

If you love giving back to your community, interacting with others, and making a real impact in the lives of others, this is an excellent, low-commitment opportunity!
