Mission Statement

WWT is a volunteer, nonprofit that supports the work of the Wekiva Basin State Parks. The Wekiva Wilderness Trust is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that supports the efforts of the Wekiva Basin State Parks to provide resource-based recreation while preserving, interpreting and restoring natural and cultural resources.

Description

Volunteers assist the manager and staff maintain the 42,000 acres of park land, operate the River Patrol and run the nature center and interpretive pavilion which in 2016 had 300,000 visitors. WWT also manages the environmental and education programs offered to schools and visitors.
