Library staff is looking to identify local makers (i.e. crafters, artisans, tinkerers, hobby enthusiasts) to share their skills as one of Woodland’s greatest strengths is its community. Help the Woodland maker community grow by volunteering to teach a maker class at the Library’s Square One.
Any making skill is valuable. Instructors are needed with skills in crafts such as sewing, knitting, crochet, needle felting, screen printing, jewelry and beading work. Also needed are instructors in technical areas such as coding, photo editing, video editing, electronics soldering, and circuity. Volunteers with skills in laser cutting, 3D printing, and die-cut machines such as Cricut are needed as well. The Woodshop is in need of volunteers with a passion for woodworking and skill with a CNC router.
Scheduling of classes can be made to work around the volunteer’s schedule.
