Fire experts agree that people may have as little as two minutes to safely get out of a burning house. Having a working smoke alarm and an escape plan prepared beforehand can be critical during a home fire and has the potential to save lives! That is why it is more important than ever that we all join together to reduce injuries, save lives, and cut down on needless losses from home fires.
WHAT: The American Red Cross Home Fire Prevention Campaign is a nationwide initiative that aims to reduce the number of fire deaths and injuries in the U.S. by 25% within five years. We are asking you to join forces with us, local first responders, community groups, and corporate supporters as we bring this program to Beekmantown in an effort to prepare as many local households as possible. Join us as we provide lifesaving fire safety education and install FREE smoke alarms all day long for local families in need!
