What
Volunteers needed for Junior Achievement's Reverse Job Shadow at Matthew Gilbert Middle School

Traditional job shadows bring students to the workplace. JA's Reverse Job Shadow brings the workplace to the students!

We are seeking community members and business professionals from a variety of industries. As a volunteer you'll discuss qualifications, skills and expectations for working in your field. You might even find a potential future employee!

As a volunteer you are given a table to set up your display: signs, posters, brochures, products - anything you wish to bring. Dress as you would for a work day - don't hold back! Students visit each station on a rotational basis, asking questions and learning about the different types of careers presented.

All students will benefit regardless of their post-secondary path. Interacting with career fair participants will help them sharpen their job search skills and practice good communication skills. They'll gain insights into career options and learn about career paths they wouldn't have known about otherwise.
