Mission Statement
As Ladies In Power our mission is to unite, strengthen, encourage, and educate young ladies. We provide the tools needed to build self-esteem, add confidence, and self motivation. We promote healthy living, financial freedom, and being a leader. Our goal is to stop the raise in teen pregnancy, prevent high school dropouts, and build successful individuals. We promote going to college, and becoming an entrepreneur. We believe in educating young ladies about the importance of money management and establishing good credit in today's world. We believe being respectful, dressing and talking in a respectable manner is a very important aspect to developing respect and confidence in your self. We believe only with support, education, and an understanding of being a young lady, will we start to see a difference in the young ladies of the world.
Description
Ladies In Power is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2006 by sister's Taneshia & Raquel Miller. Having a passion to improve their community the sisters decided to start an organization to support the youth. In 2008 Ladies In Power begin implementing a core curriculum focusing on mental & physical health and financial literacy.
