Would you like to help give one last birthday wish to one of our patients? We are looking for individuals or groups to help make birthday cakes, muffins, or desired dessert makers for patients. These volunteers specialize in baking cakes for patient’s birthdays as IDG staff or Volunteer Coordinator requests.
Birthday Cake bakers are not required to deliver the items to each designated place, some choose to simple bake the items and deliver them to the office to then be delivered to the patient.
Oftentimes this is the last birthday many of our patients get to see, with their family and friends. Why not make their last birthday special and meaningful by baking a cake, and or by helping set up a small birthday gathering for our patients.

AseraCare is a hospice agency that provides care to patient in the end stages of life. We serve patients in their own homes, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities.
We focus on serving the emotional, spiritual and physical needs of our team, patients and families with a sense of compassion, urgency and customer service. AseraCare is passionate about creating a culture that is dedicated to the alleviation of human suffering which finds expression through the ongoing gentle acts of kindness, sympath and compassion. Volunteers at AseraCare will be a friend in someone's end of life journey to ensure they are comfortable.
AseraCare Hospice volunteers enhance quality of life and reduce the burden of caregiving by providing dirrerent types of support to patients and families. Companions, pet therapy, music volunteers, Reiki Practitioners, Massage therapists, and more visit our patients on a regular basis. If you wish to share your heart and help a terminally ill patient in any way you can contact our Volunteer Coordinator to learn about our exciting new opportunities!
