We are looking for dedicated and community-oriented individuals to serve as Summer Hunger Relief AmeriCorps Members with our Mobile Summer Meals Program!
Summer Hunger Relief AmeriCorps Members combat childhood summer hunger by providing free meals and fun to kids at apartment complexes and community centers. These disadvantaged youth do not have access to traditional summer programming or nutritious meals, so we bring it to them!
Successful candidates should be:
- hard working,
- self-motivated,
- personable,
- interested in making a difference in the Denver community by alleviating hunger
What is AmeriCorps?
AmeriCorps is a national community service program allowing individuals to give back to their community and get paid for it!
Requirements:
- Age 17 or older
- US citizen or permanent resident
- Able to lift 30 lbs
- Able to commit to 30-45 hours/week from May 24th- August 18th
This entry-level position is great for college students, recent college graduates, and graduate students interested in the non-profit sector, social work, and/or child education.

Description
We deliver federally funded meals free of charge to children at after-school and summer sites throughout the country. In Dallas, TX, we also provide nutritious food to families year round with our Mobile Food Access Network. Additionally, we engage and empower individuals to facilitate our programs through AmeriCorps.
