City Farm is looking for motivated volunteers who enjoy hard work outdoors to help at our Chicago Urban Farm. There is a need for traditional urban agricultural work such as preparing for planting, planting, weeding but also a need for help in organizing the farm in order to maximize space. Those who prove to be punctual, hard workers have the potential to become paid employees of the farm. The best matches will:

-love hard work,

-be on time and have a good work ethic,

-love green growing life,

-want to learn and

-be able to accept and apply constructive criticism.

If this sounds like you, get in touch. Working in agriculture can be very rewarding and purifying, both physically and mentally. In addition, you would be working for a great organization, the Resource Center, headed by Ken Dunn.

If this interests you, please send a resume to set up a phone interview; cover letters welcome but not necessary.

The Resource Center has been devoted from its beginning to the economic and educational revitalization of city neighborhoods through recycling, urban farming, composting, and other programs that reclaim and reuse resources.
