Education Matters in partnership with Lower Price Hill Santa Maria Youth Program seeks individuals to serve as Coaches for their summer sports league. The LPH Summer Sports League is an opportunity for neighborhood children to explore and stretch their athletic capabilities while forming positive relationships with peers and trusted adults. The program will be located at Evans Park in Lower Price Hill.
Coaches would be expected to commit no less than 10 hours per week between the months of April and October, 2017. Coaches would be responsible for working with teams of children throughout the summer to develop their athletic skills, encourage teamwork and good sportsmanship, and foster interpersonal relationships between players. Coaches are to serve as mentors and trusted friend to children in the context of organized sport. LPH Summer Sports League is looking for adults to lead basketball, baseball, softball, and soccer teams.More opportunities with Education Matters

Education Matters is a non-profit in Lower Price Hill and East Price Hill that re-engages adults in education. We offer three key programs: Education Forward (GED), College Bridge, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). We provide both classroom and one-on-one instruction to meet students where they are at and assist them in achieving their educational goals. Our vision is a city where all people have the opportunity to access the power of education.
