Make a difference doing what you love! Join us at a JABA Community Senior Center. Teach the cha-cha, lead a light exercise class, share some basic computer tips, instruct knitting, give a cooking demonstration, call out BINGO, help with organizational tasks - opportunities abound to enrich your life in as little as 30 minutes each month.
JABA Senior Centers offer a diverse schedule of activities including exercise, health screenings, a hot, healthy lunch, and most importantly a sense of connection and community for area seniors. Serve at a location near you! Senior Centers are located in Charlottesville, Esmont, Scottsville, Fork Union, Lovingston and Standardsville.

To promote, establish and preserve sustainable communities for healthy aging that benefit individuals and families of all ages.
Description
For almost 50 years, JABA has provided a variety of services to help seniors remain as healthy, active, and independent as possible. Programs include information and referral, education and advocacy, and direct services such as adult care centers, community centers, senior meal programs, care coordinators, health care and health promotion programs, health insurance counseling, volunteer and employment opportunities, and conflict resolution for people in nursing homes and other long-term health care settings. Jaba believes that aging is a lifelong process, which is most successfully done in intergenerational communities.
