Our Medical Records department is looking for a detail-oriented volunteer for 1 - 2 hours every Tuesday afternoon to fill out fax cover sheets and then fax reports to several people. A volunteer must have decent penmanship (writing names legibly), be able to stand on your feet for up to 2 hours, and be able to work the fax machine function of the copier. It's pretty easy and we'll train you, but you'll need to do it repetitively each week. Good eyesight is also a plus because you'll need to type a subject line into the copier screen for each report. Because you will be handling sensitive information, this position requires an application process consisting of an application, three references, and a criminal background check.

Description
Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care is a nonprofit organization offering a range of services for people of all ages and at any stage of serious illness. We've been providing comfort and care to the seriously ill and their families in the greater Kansas City area since 1980.
By providing both hospice and palliative care, we are able to assist patients and their loved ones at any time following a serious diagnosis. Hospice is provided when the focus is primarily on comfort; palliative care is provided when it is too early for hospice care and the patient may be seeking treatment aimed at cure.
