Call For Action is looking for volunteer mediators to help local and national consumers resolve their disputes with businesses, service providers, and government agencies. All necessary training is provided. All work is performed in an office environment. Volunteers answer calls from consumers and investigate cases. The main goal is to provide the consumer with resources and assist in solving problems. Volunteers tackle a diverse set of consumer issues. They handle cases involving consumer/small business fraud, identity theft, phony payment scams, used car problems, moving companies and telephone and marketing schemes.
Call For Action is a non-profit network of consumer hotlines focused on mediating consumer complaints of individuals and small businesses. Its unique partnership with broadcast media and volunteer professionals, working on consumers' behalf, builds strong community connections and expands public awareness.
Volunteers are provided with complete training and preparation to serve as mediators. We ask volunteers to give one set day per week for just a few hours, from 10am until 3pm. This time is used not only to handle calls and complaints but also to investigate cases. Additionally, we request a commitment of one year.
