Grab your best friend, neighbor or sibling and work together to bring miles of smiles to our Hospice patients! We have a fantastic craft group who works hard each month too make beautiful, sweet gifts for our patients. The two of you are needed to deliver these beautiful gifts! We have a couple of home patients and patents at the Wesley Ridge facility that we need these gifts delivered to once a month. This is a very flexible volunteer opportunity. The gifts are usually completed the month prior to them being delivered. You and your friend would arrange to pick them up from our corporate office and then deliver them at your convenience. The mission of Hospice Services at Methodist ElderCare is to provide the best hospice care possible for patients located in the counties of Fairfield, Franklin. Pickaway, Delaware, Licking, Fayette, Union, and Madison.
Description
The philosophy of services focuses on maximizing the patients quality of life through an individualized comprehensive care program designed to meet his/her physical,social,emotional and spiritual needs (24) hours a day, (7) days a week. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team of staff and volunteers. In addition, following the patients death, hospice continues to maintain contact with family members through a (13) month bereavement program.
