Wands for Wildlife Intern: work with Co-Founders of Appalachian Wild to formalize the program and implement strategies to take advantage of the worldwide audience to support the mission. High level computer skills and social media experience required. Up to eight hours per week.
This opportunity will assist Appalachian Wild Co-Founders on-site near Asheville, NC and virtually through computer and media assistance.

Mission Statement
Appalachian Wildlife Refuge is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that coordinates wildlife rehabilitation efforts in Western North Carolina by providing care for injured and orphaned wildlife, supporting the wildlife rehabilitation network, and offering conservation education to the community.
Description
Appalachian Wild was formed in 2014 to help with the increasing number of native wild animals in crisis in our region. Partnering with local home-based wildlife rehabilitators and specialized facilities, the organization provides rescue, triage, transport, and education. The wildlife rehabilitation facility opened in July 2018 and is expected to serve over 2,000 animals annually. The organization is a community resource to help our native wildlife and give them a second chance at life in the wild.
