Do you love libraries and books? You are invited to join the Friends of the East San Jose Carnegie Branch Library.

Activities may include:
Organizing and merchandizing books for in-lobby book sales
Organizing books for big book sales that take place in the Community Room
Assisting with the big book sales, including setting up, selling books, and post-sale clean up
Publicizing Friends activities and book sales
Some Friends may be involved in record keeping and accounting.

Benefits include:
Meeting new people
Building and Enhancing teamwork skills
Becoming engaged with the community

We usually meet on the first Wednesdays of odd-numbered months.

Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
