The Muscle Walk is a fun, non-competitive walk to honor the adults and children with any of the more than 43 muscle diseases in MDA’s program. Muscle Walk raises funds to help the Muscular Dystrophy Association foster research and provide vital services to local families affected by muscle disease.

Volunteer duties include: Event set-up including table and tent set up, parking monitors, registration, course monitors, art and activity booth operators, and event clean-up.

We have an all-day shift from 7:00am to 1:00pm or two shorter shifts available: 7:00 am - 11:30 am or 9 am - 1:00 pm. Please indicate what shift you would prefer. Please be aware that times may change based on event kick off.

All participants will receive a MDA T-Shirt for their participation.

Description

The Greater San Francisco Bay Area Fundraising Office is trying to raise one million dollars this year to fund clinics at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, a summer camp for children ages 6-17, help purchase durable medical equiptments such as wheelchairs, leg braces and communication devices, and most important-- research into the cures and treatments to over 43 neuromuscular diseases.
