Georgia Aquarium is seeking current high school students (ages 15-17) to join our Beginner Environmental Leadership program! If you have a passion for conservation, dream of being a marine biologist, or simply love animals, this is the program for you.

Volunteers will assist in the following areas:

Gallery Interpretation: engaging individuals of varying ages and backgrounds in learning about aquatic life.

Activity Tables: getting our younger guests involved in arts & crafts and older guests in conservation activities.

Camp H2O: assisting campers and our Education Department for one full week of awesome, environmental activities.

Birthday Parties: offering our guests a special day without all the stress of planning a party.

Community Project: applying skills and knowledge learned at Georgia Aquarium to benefit local communities through a collaborative service project.

Teens will also have the access to our training courses on marine biology and exclusive educational days to our behind-the-scenes areas. After eight months of full participation and good performance, volunteers will have the opportunity to expand their areas of volunteering within the aquarium.

The first step towards joining our Beginner Environmental Leadership Program is to visit our website: http://www.georgiaaquarium.org/experience/support/get-involved/volunteer/beginner-environmental-leadership-program . Once there, you will be able to review our volunteer requirements, see important dates, and find instructions on how to begin your application process. Join us in creating the future of environmental conservation!
