Job Summary: Retrieving materials requested by patrons of partnering libraries.

Time Required: 1 to 2 hours per day, 1-2 days per week, morning hours. Days volunteered are dependent on library needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Volunteers must have the ability to lift up to 15-20lbs and move library materials as necessary. Knowledge of the Dewey decimal system. Ability to reach top shelves, bend to bottom shelves, and push a cart filled with library material. Individuals must have ability to work congenially with staff, patrons, and other volunteers. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, policies, and procedures. Ability to receive instruction from library staff, and the cooperation to abide by library policies and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum age for volunteering in this position is 18.
