Receptionists Volunteer Opportunity

Lakeview Pantry sees thousands of volunteers every year, and we are so grateful to have such a committed volunteer corps. We have a wide variety of opportunities for both individuals and groups to volunteer. The receptionist role is unique in that they are the face of the pantry and create a friendly environment for both clients, guests, and volunteers. If this role interests you, we would love to have you as a part of our team!

Available Shifts: Saturday 9AM - 1PM at 5151 N Sheridan.

Description: Lakeview Pantry Volunteer receptionists provide a warm, welcoming customer service experience for clients and supporters of Lakeview Pantry. Responsibilities include routing phone calls and receiving visitors, donations, and deliveries.

Getting Started: To get started, you will need to register online at our website and attend a new volunteer orientation. At orientation, you will meet Kandis Howard Volunteer Program Coordinator or Aliya Prescott, Manager of Volunteers who will cover information regarding our programs, volunteer opportunities, and more. You will attend orientation at our Sheridan location at 3945 N. Sheridan OR 5151 N. Ravenswood. Orientations last about an hour and there is no need to RSVP just show up to the one that works for you!

Experience & Training: The reception opportunity is a specific role that requires a special training. No prior experience is necessary. However, comfort with phones, computers/laptops, and working in a dynamic environment is ideal for this role. Once an orientation is completed, please email Kandis Howard, Volunteer Program Coordinator at kandis@lakeviewpantry.org to schedule a reception training.
