Help us to promote a greener, cleaner state! NC GreenPower is a nonprofit improving our state’s environment by supporting renewable energy, carbon offset projects and providing grants for solar installations at K-12 schools.
We will be attending NC State's Packaplooza and will need help staffing an outreach table where event attendees can ask questions and learn more about NC GreenPower. Packapalooza is an all-day block party and street festival including great music, activities throughout the day, and fun entertainment for the whole family.
At our outreach table, we will have eco-friendly giveaways, pictures of our solar school installations and renewable energy displays. We will also have a small solar panel at the table for demonstration purposes and an educational activity for children.
Your responsibilities would include engaging people who stop by the outreach table, telling them about our program, handing out NC GreenPower swag etc. We will provide online training to help new volunteers learn more about NC GreenPower before staffing our table.

Mission Statement
NC GreenPower is an independet nonprofit improving North Carolina's environment by supporting renewable energy, carbon offset projects and providing grants for educational solar PV installations at K-12 schools.
Description
Headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, NC GreenPower is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to improve the quality of the environment in North Carolina through a statewide program that connects consumers with green energy and carbon offset providers. We also provide grants for solar installations at K-12 schools. Contributions are given by individuals and businesses either directly to us, or through their utility.
The NC GreenPower Speakers Bureau was created to help carry the message of our mission to all corners of North Carolina. Our volunteers assist us in staffing outreach event for us and providing free presentations to any group, business or organization that has an interest in learning more about clean energy alternatives, carbon offsets and their benefits. The Speakers Bureau also strives to increase participation in the NC GreenPower program, providing economic, environmental, and health benefits to all citizens of North Carolina.
Training sessions are periodically held for new volunteers. These sessions include tips about presenting, speaking points regarding the program, and instructions for using the speaker toolkit, provided at no cost.
