As part of our ongoing efforts to keep an accurate inventory of the CDs, DVDs, etc. that we have available in the Library, we are requesting volunteers to help us.

The volunteers will be asked to do the following tasks:

- Remove a batch of items from the shelves while keeping track of where they were located (shelves can go as low as the floor level)

- Brings items to the Periodical Desk(near) and use the Millennium Software - manual typing of barcode on the back of the plastic case into the system to make sure that the cover matches the item that is inside the plastic case

- Inventory information will be saved in the Millennium file

- training will be provided if needed

Schedule that supervisors will be available for training

4/4 to 4/7 -- Susana Rivas is available from 11-1 and 2-4.

4/11 to 4/13 - Susana Rivas is available each day from 11-1 and 2-4.

Timeframe:

This is an ongoing project. Volunteers could work as soon as they are ready.

Will they be required to lift heavy objects, can they sit or is the opportunity standing?:

Some light work in removing CDs and DVDs from shelves - after that, the volunteers would sit at the computer and input the records.
