Field Trip Greeter Purpose and Duties: The purpose of this position is to provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to field trip visitors while facilitating efficient group check-in procedures.

Duties include:
* Greet and interact with field trip visitors (including students, teachers, parents, and bus drivers) in a welcoming, friendly, inviting, and professional manner.
* Assist with school group check-in procedures including payments, recording attendance, and distributing program materials.
* Convey general visitor information, program information, and field trip guidelines to small and large groups.
* Orient visitors to the site, including program locations, restrooms, and lunch facilities.
* Rove the site during educational programs, ensuring program execution, visitor safety, and compliance with site guidelines.

Shift Information:
* Tuesday-Friday between 9AM - 11:30AM during the months of April, May, June, July, September and October.
* A one shift per week commitment is preferred.

Location:
* Both indoors and outdoors, onsite at Hudson Gardens.

Attire and equipment (provided by the volunteer):
* Closed-toe shoes; a name tag will be provided.

Description

The Hudson Gardens & Event Center is a regional display garden, showcasing plants that grow well in Colorado’s Front Range climate. Our thirty acres of gardens are designed to educate and inform our guests by providing diverse opportunities to gain knowledge about plants, gardening, wildlife, and environmental stewardship. Hudson Gardens is also a multipurpose recreational facility featuring educational displays and programs, cultural and community events, and venues for private social and corporate gatherings. Since 2012, Hudson Gardens has offered free general admission to the community.
