Destructive flood waters have destroyed homes, schools, roads and bridges across Peru. The impact has been vast, and due to the urgent need our assessment team witnessed when they arrived in country we have launced an immediate response effort focusing on mudding out schools and homes, and building temporary learning centres in the town of Huarmey, northern Peru.

In July 2017, our efforts transitioned into the recovery phase where our focus is to build permanent schools for children affected by the flooding in Piura. We're currently working to rebuild our fourth school, which will include a kitchen and playground for the children to learn, grow, and dream bigger post-disaster.
