The Leadership Jefferson County class of 2017 is excited to partner with Foster

Elementary School in Arvada to rebuild and replant their school garden.

Our Leadership class took on this garden project for several reasons: The school has

had a garden in the past and it has fallen into disrepair. It was difficult to maintain over

the summer months due to a lack of an irrigation drip system, and the absence of a

fence around the garden perimeter made it easy for nearby transient populations and

others to remove produce and to vandalize the garden area.

Processes are underway at this time to grow seedlings and other plantings in

anticipation of the garden readiness date of May 15, 2017.

Our hope is that you can help support this most worthy community project by

volunteering to assist for 3 hour shifts between 8:30 am-3:30 pm on the following

April 8 th or 9th

April 22 nd or 23rd

May 6 th or 7th
