Join Friends of Corlears Park on May 20 for our annual It's My Park Spring Event!
Volunteers will be helping beautify the park by planting new shrubs, cleaning, weeding and raking. We will be planting about two dozen new shrubs throughout the park so we can use a lot of extra hands and diggers. We will also be spreading some mulch and doing general clean-up/weeding.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend and help out. School groups and those seeking to fulfill community service requireemnts are also welcome to join us. No experience is needed - we will show what to do. We'll provide gloves, shovels, rakes, snacks and water - all we need is your smiling face and helpful hands (even if you only have 20 minutes to help out).
Corlears Hook Park (also known as Jackosn Park) is located on Manhattan's Lower East Side just south of the Williamsburg Bridge at the corner of Jackson and Cherry Streets. You can reach us by the J, F and M trains and the M21, M22 and M14A busses.
