Gentiva Hospice, an affiliate of Kindred at Home, has patients ranging all over San Diego. Many of these patients are being cared for in their own homes or the homes of family. Every Thursday we conduct a "Tuck-In" call from our office to make sure they have everything they need for the weekend. We are looking for a couple volunteers that can make these calls on Thursday Mornings. It takes about 4 hours. Volunteers would be provided Hospice Administrative Volunteer training, which is about 5 hours, along with an interveiw and background check. The Tuck-in Training takes about an hour once a volunteer is on board. Of course we have lots of other office work for someone with more time on their hands! If you have good verbal and written skills, contact us! Spanish speaking is a bonus! All calls are conducted from our office on Ruffin Rd, in San Diego, just off Hwy 15.
