We are in search for volunteers to visit with Hospice patients. We have patients in all counties including: Clarke, Greene, Morgan, Jackson, Banks, Madison, Wilkes, Franklin, etc. Our volunteers are there to sit with our patients to provide them with companionship and support. We sit and talk to the patients, read to them, interact with puzzles or games, may help with a little house work if needed, and we can also run an errand for them if they need. We want to be that friendly visitor for them to look forward to seeing each week. Our volunteers usually visit about 1 time a week anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple of hours. Whatever the volunteer is able to do is what we work around. Our patients absolutely love having someone come in and share their life story with.

Description
Hospice Compassus values the time and energy our volunteers put into our patients. We are looking for someone who is caring and compassionate and enjoys visiting. As volunteers we may provide some of the following services: Friendly visits for social interaction, reading to patients, listening presence, companionship, patient caregiver relief, emotional support, etc. Are you willing to make a difference in a patients life today when they need us the most?
