Our Westside Citizens United Tri-City Youth Court (WCU TCYC) is much like National Youth Court we train teenagers to serve as jurors, judges, youth court officers and attorneys, handling real-life cases involving their peers. The goal of youth court is to use positive peer pressure to ensure that young people who have committed minor offenses pay back the community as well as their families and receive the help they need to avoid further involvement in the justice system while educating, motivating and training them to make positive steps in the right direction, while turning the corner on crime.
The Tri-City Youth Courts will hear a range of disciplinary cases, providing a new resource for school administrators, parents, the criminal justice system, probation, juvenile justice, etc. to strengthen the school community and divert students away from detention, suspension and jail.
Tri City Youth Court is a youth program and is not affiliated in any way with the New Jersey Criminal Justice System but services as a volunteer program of the community working and supporting the criminal justice system in working in the best interest of the child.

Description
"Westside Citizens United" has partnered with other community agencies to bring positive programs into the community for all ages. We have sponsored programs like: Community Clean-up, City Wide Spring and Fall planting & clean-up, Back to School Block Party, VNACJ Community Day, Community Garden and AP Seniors Valentine’s Day Party and the J.E.T (Junior Entrepreneur Training) program.
Westside Citizens United is making connections needed to develop our community by involving the schools, residents and businesses. With our Fish Fry Fundraisers we have been able to donate back to the community for our youth; Asbury Park Little League Summer Camp Program, Interfaith Neighbors, F3B (Three Female Ballers) Organization and Urban Youth Civil Rights Education Initiative.
Moving forward we will be looking to bring about more programs within the community for the youth and seniors.CAUSE AREAS
