Companionship Volunteers in Hospice

Men and women who have available time and an open heart are invited to join our team to provide support to patients and their families. We are seeking volunteers with life experience to visit patients and provide conversation and companionship. Offering emotional support to families and caregivers as well as respite care is also needed. Arts and crafts, music, aromatherapy and other skills are welcome. Quietly sitting with a patient can also be the perfect gift. Our patients may live in their own home, with family, or in a care community. Other opportunities are available such as assisting in the office with administrative duties, running errands, helping at health fairs, bereavement support and more.

Extensive training is provided as well as ongoing supervision. This is a great opportunity to learn more about end of life care as well as bereavement.
