During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Shark Stewards is seeking a resourceful, motivated and passionate ocean lover to help organize and link volunteers within our network to develop our shark and ray protection campaigns.
The candidate will work directly with the Director and board to connect volunteers with opportunities, organize assets and help with work plans and deliverables. This is an ideal virtual opportunity!
We meet monthly on zoom and share images and shark stories and put passionate people to work saving sharks and the ocean.
It is a great opportunity to network with like-minded ocean people, building relationships and working for a great cause.
We request a 6 month commitment at 2 hours per week.

Restoring ocean health by saving sharks and protecting critical marine habitat.
Shark Stewards employs education, science and media to gain public support and advocate policy for shark conservation and marine protected areas.
We are leading the effort to educate and establish marine protected areas and ban the shark fin trade in North America, and are expanding across the Pacific into Asia with our Pacific Shark Alliance.
At home we are helping rstore habitat in the San Francisco Bay, and keeping the Bay clean through our beach clean ups in the National Parks waterfront in San Francisco.
Based in San Francisco, Shark Stewards is a project of The Earth Island Institute, an environmentalist think tank founded by David Brower and a 501c3 non-profit.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
