Doors to Hope, a ministry of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, is seeking ESL or GED instructors to work with adults, either one on one or in small groups. Many of our adult students speak Spanish as their native language and come from varying levels of educational backgrounds. Classes are Monday-Thursday, 12pm - 7pm, and on Fridays from 10am - 2pm. Previous ESL or GED instruction is preferred but by no means required.
***We currently have an ESL Instructor opening for a group of 3 high-intermediate ESL adult learners who are pausing their GED studies to fine-tune their language skills (with hopes of returning to GED prep in the near future). They meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 pm - 7 pm.
We're looking for commited volunteers who are willing to dedicate a few hours a week to one or more students who are just as commited to learning English and/or earning their GED! This a great opportunity for those seeking to volunteer in a bicultural environment.
If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions, you can call our office at (502) 384-4673 or email Erin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
