On Saturday May 11th the Post Office will be bringing in food to the M59 station from the Stamp Out Hunger Campaign. We need volunteers there to help unload the trucks and sort the food from approximately 3 PM till 7 PM. The post office will provide food in there "break area" for volunteers.
The two weeks following (5/13 through 5/24) we will be sorting and storing food in our warehouse. Schedule are yet to be set, but we'll need approx. 10-20 people to help us out in 2 hour shift through the days we decide to work on this. You can voounteer for multiple shifts in a day. Last year Open Door received 105,000 pounds of food during this event, which reprents almost half our entire yea's inventory/distribution. We do a lot of work in a short span of time. Many hands make light work!
Help us again this year, and help your community! We will be sorting the canned goods at our Pantry location; 7170 Cooley Lake Road, Waterford, MI 48327.

Description
We have a client choice food pantry that services low income families in Waterford, White Lake, Walled Lake, West Bloomfeild,Sylvan Lake, Keego Harbor as well as parts of Wixom.
We also have a resale store that clients are given vouchers every three months to shop for clothing and small household items.
