The Webmaster assists the Operations Team Leader by maintaining the Village website so that content is always up to date, calendar reflects current schedule, and any changes are implemented quickly.
- Managing, editing static content pages
- Linking to editable forms
- Posting updates to web pages and calendar
- Responding to emails about site problems and escalating as appropriate
- Making changes to the menu structure as approved by the Village’s Advisory Committee
- Querying content providers within Walnut Creek Village
- Coordinating with the Marketing & Communications team’s social media postings
Qualifications:
- At least two years’ experience in performing related tasks
- Experience with CMS such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomia, or others
- Ability to crop, resize, flatten and otherwise modify images
- Ability to write basic HTML such as links and tables

Walnut Creek Village's mission is to support our choice to live independently in our own homes, safely, happily and healthfully, by connecting us with the social, practical and professional assistance we may need now or in the future.
Description
As we age, we need strong social connections. Walnut Creek Village is a community within a community led by older adults who share their skills, support, and expertise with each other to navigate the challenges and opportunities of aging. We offer members the resources and connections to explore and make choices for how to live meaningfully now and into their future. The Village provides needed services such as transportation, home maintenance and repair and tech support, a well as referrals to screened professional service providers.
Walnut Creek Village opened on September 25, 2017. We partner with other local Villages such as Lamorinda, and Clayton Valley, to pool resources for finding preferred providers, co-hosting events and exchanging operational information.
